About

Rapper, entrepreneur, & branding expert: Jazon Keith Jackson, better known as: Jay Blaze, began his career in his hometown of Los Angeles, CA.  Growing up with his younger sister, and a single mother working in the entertainment business.  His dream of being a rap superstar began after hanging out and getting advice on set from Mase, Destiny Child’s, Kobe Bryant, Daymond Johns and other entertainment industry executives.   He began to write music and develop his skills, garnering the attention of his peers and immediate community from doing local talent shows and lunchtime freestyle battles eventually free-styling on stage with Wyclef Jean during his MTV “Campus Invasion Tour” in LA .  Continuing to freestyle battle, he then would freestyle live on Los Angeles biggest Hip - Hop radio station Power 106.  Jay’s love of business and branding came after a paid summer branding job for Haim Saban himself after giving him honest feedback on cartoons such as Power Rangers and Animaniacs.

Soon after graduating Beverly Hills High school, Jay’s passion led him to create his own record label, Global Sound Music.  One of his earliest collaborations was with producer, Jukebox (Whip My Hair). The track, “Move” , landed on MTV’s “Making The Band” and quickly helped introduce him to music industry power players.  Jay would then embark on a school tour, performing at hundred of high schools and colleges across Southern California, encouraging students to stay in school all while building his fanbase and honing his craft.  Shortly after, Jay worked with many celebrities such as Ray J, Lamorne Morris, Coco Crisp, Inanna, and Jessica Rich to name a few.  Jay is the perfect hybrid of business man and rapper following after the likes of friends Diddy & Jay Z, also taking influence from LL Cool J and Kanye West.  His music has been featured on several premiere blogs such as Complex, Hip Hop DX & VIBE.  As both an artist and entertainment industry professional Jay’s music and content has been broadcast in rotation on tv networks like MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, BET and many more.

Jay often credits his longevity to both, business savvy, and willingness to adapt and evolve creatively.  Jay Blaze is responsible for over 100 million streams, spread across the multiple titles of executive producer, artist, and content creator.  With increased interest from major companies, Jay closed deals with the likes of TurboTax, Fox, Diageo and many more.  As he continues to evolve into the entertainment industry, the list of powerhouse brands, celebrities/ influential friends and supporters continues to grow.  His 2019/20 releases, “Where You Been” featuring GSM artist Zaku and “Sweet Dreams”, gained rotation on popular radio stations such as Power 105.1, Shade 45, Hot 97 and was nationally syndicated throughout America & Europe.  The releases also gained hundred of thousand of streams after being featured on dozens of Spotify playlists, including “Discover Weekly” & New Music Manila.
