Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Blaze.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the music business since high school. I worked on stuff with Disney & when I turned 18 I started my own record label. As the music business has evolved I learned how to book shows, sell merchandise, brand & marketing, video production and just about everything in between.
I have 4 companies total, Global Sound Music Group, which is a record label for myself and others, Global Boyz Music Publishing, which handles publishing for myself and other, #HaterzStayBack which is a merchandise line that was created from a song of mine and The Finishing Agency, which does branding and marketing for all my companies and others as well.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, No, No. I have run out of money, lost my girlfriend and all my pride during the process. I have nearly homeless twice, but I didn’t give up and finally started to see bigger and bigger results. Although I am not where I hope to be just yet, I am definitely on my way and the people around me can see it and feel it so much they are much more supportive.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with HaterzStayBack, LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
HaterzStayBack.com sell merchandise on its website & Amazon. We have had lots of celebrities featured on our merchandise. It is a movement that promotes anti-bullying and positive vibes. We sell fitness & lifestyle wear such as yoga pants, tank tops, hoodies, and t-shirts. Our brand was built from a song & album series that I created. Turning it into a hashtag has allowed others to join the movement.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am born and raised in LA, and I have always loved the weather, no place in the world like it. What I like least is the people who move to this city who act fake and have complete disregard for the things and people the city already has to offer.
